The present review is aimed to compare two soundbars - Klipsch R-10B vs Yamaha ATS-1070 that are meant to satisfy the needs of cinema and music lovers. Based on our rating, R-10B has a total rating of 5.2 out of 10 versus 6 for ATS-1070. The competitors' control buttons are different: input, mute, volume down, volume up and input, mute, volume down, volume up, power, respectively.
Both soundbars have active amplification type. A significant difference between the units in the number of channels, the Klipsch R-10B has 5.1 versus 2.0 for the Yamaha ATS-1070. The output power is different and equal to 250 (overall) W for the R-10B versus 60 W for the ATS-1070. Only the Yamaha ATS-1070 has a built-in subwoofer. The Klipsch R-10B got our rating of 7 out of 10, and the Yamaha ATS-1070 6 for its audio features and specs.
Each of rivals supports AirPlay. Both models support Google Play Music. Spotify is available on each of the soundbars. Both devices can play streaming audio from Pandora, Tuneln, Deezer, Chromecast.
Both models do not have WI-FI support. Rivals from our review have Bluetooth support. Only the ATS-1070 supports HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). The compared models do not have a USB connector. For connectivity, the R-10B received a rating of 4/10 versus 6/10, respectively.
App control is available for the ATS-1070. None of the models under consideration have a built-in microphone. Soundbars do not have Multi-room support.
None of soundbars equipped with Dolby Atmos multichannel audio decoder. The soundbars do not support the surround sound technology DTS:X. Compared devices do not have DTS Virtual:X support. For multichannel surround Klipsch R-10B got a rating of 2, and Yamaha ATS-1070 4 out of 10.
