The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) feature supports both devices. Both soundbars have a USB connector. For connectivity, the GX received a rating of 8/10 versus 10/10, respectively.

Features

App control is available in every soundbar. A built-in microphone is present only on the Bar 5.0. Multi-room is only available for the JBL Bar 5.0.

Multichannel surround

Both devices have support for Dolby Atmos multichannel audio format. A surround technology DTS:X is supported only by the GX. For multichannel surround LG GX got a rating of 10, and JBL Bar 5.0 7 out of 10.
