In this article, we will talk about Samsung HW-Q60R vs Sony HT-CT800 comparison. The Samsung HW-Q60R was rated 5, while the Sony HT-CT800 has a rating 6.4. Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HW-Q60R has 5.1 and HT-CT800 has 2.1. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Samsung HW-Q60R versus 3/0 HDMIs in the Sony HT-CT800. As in the HW-Q60R, so in the HT-CT800 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the HW-Q60R at 6 out of 10, while the HT-CT800 was rated 8/10.

Features

None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The Sony HT-CT800 may become part of a multiroom system.

Multichannel surround

Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the HW-Q60R or HT-CT800. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The same score of 6/10 was put to the soundbars for multichannel surround support.
