l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Sony HT-X9000F vs VIZIO SB4451-C0. The Sony HT-X9000F was rated 7, while the VIZIO SB4451-C0 has a rating 7.2. Soundbars have the same set of buttons - power, input, Bluetooth, volume down, volume up.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HT-X9000F has 2.1 and SB4451-C0 has 5.1. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 7 out of 10 received the Sony HT-X9000F for audio features and specs, but the VIZIO SB4451-C0 received 8 out of 10.
AirPlay supported by both soundbars. Each of the competitors can play content from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the SB4451-C0. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. 1/0 HDMI inputs/outputs are in each of soundbars. As in the HT-X9000F, so in the SB4451-C0 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the HT-X9000F at 7 out of 10, while the SB4451-C0 was rated 8/10.
The manufacturer of the SB4451-C0 provides a device control application. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The VIZIO SB4451-C0 may become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the HT-X9000F. The HT-X9000F can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The HT-X9000F was rated 9/10, while the SB4451-C0 received a mark of 4/10 for multichannel surround.
