l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – VIZIO SB3651-E6 vs Samsung HW-N650. Both soundbars received a score of 7.6 in our ranking. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, power, input, Bluetooth, volume down, volume up for the SB3651-E6 and volume down, volume up, input, power for the HW-N650.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. By the number of channels, the devices do not differ. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Audio features and specs of considered models we rated 7 out of 10 in our ranking.
AirPlay supported by both soundbars. Each of the competitors can play content from Spotify. Audio streaming from Pandora, Tuneln, Deezer, Chromecast is in each of the presented soundbars.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the SB3651-E6. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. 1/0 HDMI inputs/outputs are in each of soundbars. As in the SB3651-E6, so in the HW-N650 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the SB3651-E6 at 8 out of 10, while the HW-N650 was rated 7/10. Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. The soundbars in this review are equipped with a microphone. The Samsung HW-N650 may become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the SB3651-E6 or HW-N650. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The SB3651-E6 was rated 4/10, while the HW-N650 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
