l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – VIZIO SB3621n-F8M vs VIZIO SB4451-C0. The VIZIO SB3621n-F8M was rated 4.6, while the VIZIO SB4451-C0 has a rating 7.2. Soundbars have the same set of buttons - power, input, Bluetooth, volume down, volume up.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that SB3621n-F8M has 2.1 and SB4451-C0 has 5.1. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 6 out of 10 received the VIZIO SB3621n-F8M for audio features and specs, but the VIZIO SB4451-C0 received 8 out of 10. The SB4451-C0 can play audio from Spotify. Audio streaming from VIZIO SmartCast is in each of the presented soundbars.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the SB4451-C0. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) is implemented only in the SB4451-C0. We rated the connectivity of the SB3621n-F8M at 4 out of 10, while the SB4451-C0 was rated 8/10.
Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The VIZIO SB4451-C0 may become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the SB3621n-F8M or SB4451-C0. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The same score of 4/10 was put to the soundbars for multichannel surround support.
