l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Bose Smart Soundbar 300 vs Samsung HW-S50A. The Bose Smart Soundbar 300 was rated 7.6, while the Samsung HW-S50A has a rating 4.8. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, microphone, action for the Smart Soundbar 300 and power, source, demo, volume down, volume up for the HW-S50A.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. By the number of channels, the devices do not differ. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the Smart Soundbar 300 via wired and wireless, but HW-S50A has wireless connection type. Rate 5 out of 10 received the Bose Smart Soundbar 300 for audio features and specs, but the Samsung HW-S50A received 6 out of 10. The Smart Soundbar 300 can play audio from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the Smart Soundbar 300. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/0 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Bose Smart Soundbar 300 versus 0/1 HDMIs in the Samsung HW-S50A. As in the Smart Soundbar 300, so in the HW-S50A there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 8/10. The manufacturer of the Smart Soundbar 300 provides a device control application. The Bose Smart Soundbar 300 equipped with a microphone. The Bose Smart Soundbar 300 may become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the Smart Soundbar 300 or HW-S50A. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The Smart Soundbar 300 was rated 4/10, while the HW-S50A received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
