I had a chance to test and compare two models: Denon DHT-S217 vs Sonos Arc and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The Denon DHT-S217 was rated 4.8, while the Sonos Arc has a rating 7. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, power, source, demo, volume down, volume up for the DHT-S217 and volume down, volume up, play/pause, microphone for the Arc.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A built-in subwoofer is available only in the Denon DHT-S217. An external subwoofer connects to the DHT-S217 via wired, but Arc has wireless connection type. Rate 4 out of 10 received the Denon DHT-S217 for audio features and specs, but the Sonos Arc received 5 out of 10. The Arc can play audio from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the Arc. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Denon DHT-S217 versus 1/0 HDMIs in the Sonos Arc. As in the DHT-S217, so in the Arc there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 7/10. Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. The Sonos Arc equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
