LG SP2 vs Sonos Arc review
I had a chance to test and compare two models: LG SP2 vs Sonos Arc and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The LG SP2 was rated 4.2, while the Sonos Arc has a rating 7.
Audio features
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A built-in subwoofer is available only in the LG SP2. Audio features and specs of considered models we rated 5 out of 10 in our ranking. The Arc can play audio from Spotify.
Connectivity
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the Arc. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the LG SP2 versus 1/0 HDMIs in the Sonos Arc. As in the SP2, so in the Arc there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 7/10. The manufacturer of the Arc provides a device control application. The Sonos Arc equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Multichannel surround
Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the Arc. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The SP2 was rated 5/10, while the Arc received a mark of 4/10 for multichannel surround.
