The present review is aimed to compare two soundbars - Sonos Arc vs Yamaha ATS-1070 that are meant to satisfy the needs of cinema and music lovers. Based on our rating, Arc has a total rating of 7 out of 10 versus 6,6 for ATS-1070. The competitors' control buttons are different: volume down, volume up, play/pause, microphone and input, mute, volume down, volume up, power, respectively.
Both soundbars have active amplification type. Only the Yamaha ATS-1070 has a built-in subwoofer. The Sonos Arc got our rating of 5 out of 10, and the Yamaha ATS-1070 6 for its audio features and specs.
The Sonos Arc has support AirPlay 2, and its competitor in our comparison has AirPlay. Spotify is available on each of the soundbars.
Only the Sonos Arc can connect to the Internet via WI-FI. Rivals from our review have Bluetooth support. Each soundbar has 1/0 HDMI inputs/outputs. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) feature supports both devices. The compared models do not have a USB connector. For connectivity, the Arc received a rating of 7/10 versus 6/10, respectively. App control is available in every soundbar. A built-in microphone is present only on the Arc. Soundbars do not have Multi-room support.
Only the Arc has a Dolby Atmos multichannel audio format support. The soundbars do not support the surround sound technology DTS:X. For multichannel surround Sonos Arc got a rating of 4, and Yamaha ATS-1070 6 out of 10.
