l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Yamaha ATS-1070 vs VIZIO SB4451-C0. The Yamaha ATS-1070 was rated 6,6, while the VIZIO SB4451-C0 has a rating 7.2. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, input, mute, volume down, volume up, power for the ATS-1070 and power, input, Bluetooth, volume down, volume up for the SB4451-C0.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that ATS-1070 has 2.0 and SB4451-C0 has 5.1. A built-in subwoofer is available only in the Yamaha ATS-1070. Rate 6 out of 10 received the Yamaha ATS-1070 for audio features and specs, but the VIZIO SB4451-C0 received 8 out of 10.
AirPlay supported by both soundbars. Each of the competitors can play content from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the SB4451-C0. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. 1/0 HDMI inputs/outputs are in each of soundbars. As in the ATS-1070, so in the SB4451-C0 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). We rated the connectivity of the ATS-1070 at 6 out of 10, while the SB4451-C0 was rated 8/10.
Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The VIZIO SB4451-C0 may become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the ATS-1070 or SB4451-C0. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The ATS-1070 was rated 6/10, while the SB4451-C0 received a mark of 4/10 for multichannel surround.
