If you have already decided that you want to buy a new soundbar, but still don’t know what exactly you want, the Sony HT-G700 vs Samsung B550 comparison is here to offer you two decent solutions. The Sony HT-G700 was rated 6.2, while the Samsung B550 has a rating 4.6.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HT-G700 has 3.1 and B550 has 2.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 400 (overall) versus 410 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 7 out of 10 received the Sony HT-G700 for audio features and specs, but the Samsung B550 received 6 out of 10.

Multichannel surround

Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the HT-G700. The HT-G700 can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The HT-G700 was rated 10/10, while the B550 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
