Audio features
Soundbars have different amplification type - passive versus active respectively to devices. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that BS36 has 3.0 and MagniFi One has 2.1. Connectivity
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Bluetooth support integrated in the MagniFi One. Neither the BS36 nor MagniFi One has the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is not possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the BS36 at 4 out of 10, while the MagniFi One was rated 5/10.
Features
None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Multichannel surround
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the BS36 or MagniFi One. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X.
