l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Sonos Arc vs Samsung HW-N650. The Sonos Arc was rated 7, while the Samsung HW-N650 has a rating 7.6. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, volume down, volume up, play/pause, microphone for the Arc and volume down, volume up, input, power for the HW-N650.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 5 out of 10 received the Sonos Arc for audio features and specs, but the Samsung HW-N650 received 7 out of 10.
The Sonos Arc is equipped with AirPlay 2, but the Samsung HW-N650 has AirPlay on board. Each of the competitors can play content from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the Arc. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. 1/0 HDMI inputs/outputs are in each of soundbars. As in the Arc, so in the HW-N650 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 7/10. Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. The soundbars in this review are equipped with a microphone. The Samsung HW-N650 may become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the Arc. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The Arc was rated 4/10, while the HW-N650 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
