The present review is aimed to compare two soundbars - Samsung HW-Q800T vs Denon DHT-S517 that are meant to satisfy the needs of cinema and music lovers. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) feature supports both devices. For connectivity, the HW-Q800T received a rating of 9/10 versus 7/10, respectively. App control is available in every soundbar. A built-in microphone is present only on the HW-Q800T. Multi-room is only available for the Samsung HW-Q800T.

Multichannel surround

Both devices have support for Dolby Atmos multichannel audio format. A surround technology DTS:X is supported only by the HW-Q800T. For multichannel surround Samsung HW-Q800T got a rating of 10, and Denon DHT-S517 7 out of 10.
