l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – VIZIO SB3820-C6 vs Samsung HW-N650. The VIZIO SB3820-C6 was rated 5.2, while the Samsung HW-N650 has a rating 7.6. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, power, input, Bluetooth, volume down, volume up for the SB3820-C6 and volume down, volume up, input, power for the HW-N650.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that SB3820-C6 has 2.0 and HW-N650 has 5.1. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. Rate 5 out of 10 received the VIZIO SB3820-C6 for audio features and specs, but the Samsung HW-N650 received 7 out of 10. The HW-N650 can play audio from Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) is implemented only in the HW-N650. Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the SB3820-C6 at 6 out of 10, while the HW-N650 was rated 7/10.
Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. The Samsung HW-N650 equipped with a microphone. The Samsung HW-N650 may become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the SB3820-C6 or HW-N650. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The SB3820-C6 was rated 4/10, while the HW-N650 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
