l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Samsung HW-Q60R vs VIZIO SB4451-C0. The Samsung HW-Q60R was rated 5, while the VIZIO SB4451-C0 has a rating 7.2. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, power, volume down, volume up, source for the HW-Q60R and power, input, Bluetooth, volume down, volume up for the SB4451-C0.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. By the number of channels, the devices do not differ. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Audio features and specs of considered models we rated 8 out of 10 in our ranking. The SB4451-C0 can play audio from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the SB4451-C0. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Samsung HW-Q60R versus 1/0 HDMIs in the VIZIO SB4451-C0. As in the HW-Q60R, so in the SB4451-C0 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the HW-Q60R at 6 out of 10, while the SB4451-C0 was rated 8/10.
The manufacturer of the SB4451-C0 provides a device control application. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The VIZIO SB4451-C0 may become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the HW-Q60R or SB4451-C0. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The HW-Q60R was rated 6/10, while the SB4451-C0 received a mark of 4/10 for multichannel surround.
