The present review is aimed to compare two soundbars - LG SN9YG vs Samsung Q60C that are meant to satisfy the needs of cinema and music lovers. Based on our rating, SN9YG has a total rating of 7 out of 10 versus 5.8 for Q60C.
Both soundbars have active amplification type. A significant difference between the units in the number of channels, the LG SN9YG has 5.1.2 versus 3.1 for the Samsung Q60C. The output power is different and equal to 520 (overall) W for the SN9YG versus 340 (overall) W for the Q60C. Competitors do not have a built-in subwoofer. Rivals have wireless connection to separate subwoofer. Both models received our 8 rating of 10 for their audio features and specs.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. Spotify support not implemented in both soundbars.
Only the LG SN9YG can connect to the Internet via WI-FI. Rivals from our review have Bluetooth support. Each soundbar has 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) feature supports both devices. Both soundbars have a USB connector. For connectivity, the SN9YG received a rating of 8/10 versus 7/10, respectively. App control is available for the SN9YG. A built-in microphone is present only on the SN9YG. Soundbars do not have Multi-room support.
Both devices have support for Dolby Atmos multichannel audio format. The surround sound technology DTS:X is supported by devices under review. For multichannel surround, each of the opponents received 10 points out of 10.
