Both soundbars have active amplification type. A significant difference between the units in the number of channels, the Vizio V51-H6 has 5.1 versus 3.1 for the Samsung Q60C. Competitors do not have a built-in subwoofer. The V51-H6 has a wired and wireless connection to separate subwoofer, and the Q60C - wireless.
