The present review is aimed to compare two soundbars - Samsung HW-M360 vs Yamaha ATS-1070 that are meant to satisfy the needs of cinema and music lovers. Based on our rating, HW-M360 has a total rating of 4.5 out of 10 versus 6,6 for ATS-1070. The competitors' control buttons are different: power, volume down, volume up, input and input, mute, volume down, volume up, power, respectively.
Both soundbars have active amplification type. A significant difference between the units in the number of channels, the Samsung HW-M360 has 2.1 versus 2.0 for the Yamaha ATS-1070. The output power is different and equal to 200 (overall) W for the HW-M360 versus 120 W for the ATS-1070. Only the Yamaha ATS-1070 has a built-in subwoofer. Both models received our 6 rating of 10 for their audio features and specs. Spotify support is available on the ATS-1070.
Both models do not have WI-FI support. Rivals from our review have Bluetooth support. The Samsung HW-M360 has 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs versus 1/0 of the Yamaha ATS-1070. Only the ATS-1070 supports HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). For connectivity, the HW-M360 received a rating of 5/10 versus 6/10, respectively.
App control is available in every soundbar. None of the models under consideration have a built-in microphone. Multi-room is only available for the Samsung HW-M360.
