I had a chance to test and compare two models: Sony HT-X9000F vs Sonos Arc and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. Both soundbars received a score of 7 in our ranking. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, power, input, Bluetooth, volume down, volume up for the HT-X9000F and volume down, volume up, play/pause, microphone for the Arc.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 7 out of 10 received the Sony HT-X9000F for audio features and specs, but the Sonos Arc received 5 out of 10.
The Sony HT-X9000F is equipped with AirPlay, but the Sonos Arc has AirPlay 2 on board. Each of the competitors can play content from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the Arc. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. 1/0 HDMI inputs/outputs are in each of soundbars. As in the HT-X9000F, so in the Arc there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 7/10. The manufacturer of the Arc provides a device control application. The Sonos Arc equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Manufacturers equipped both units with Dolby Atmos audio decoder. The HT-X9000F can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The HT-X9000F was rated 9/10, while the Arc received a mark of 4/10 for multichannel surround.
