I had a chance to test and compare two models: Samsung HW-Q60R vs KEF HTF7003 and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The Samsung HW-Q60R was rated 4.4, while the KEF HTF7003 has a rating 5.
Soundbars have different amplification type - active versus passive respectively to devices. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HW-Q60R has 5.1 and HTF7003 has 3.0. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 360 (overall) versus 100 according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. Rate 8 out of 10 received the Samsung HW-Q60R for audio features and specs, but the KEF HTF7003 received 6 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. Both devices do not have Google Play Music on board. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Bluetooth support integrated in the HW-Q60R. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) is implemented only in the HW-Q60R. We rated the connectivity of the HW-Q60R at 6 out of 10, while the HTF7003 was rated 4/10.
None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the HW-Q60R or HTF7003. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. DTS Virtual:X technology not supported by any of the soundbars in this review.
The KEF HTF7003 is better soundbar in this comparison. Check KEF HTF7003 price
