l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Samsung HW-Q70T vs VIZIO M51ax-J6. The Samsung HW-Q70T was rated 8.2, while the VIZIO M51ax-J6 has a rating 5.4. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, volume down, volume up, power, source for the HW-Q70T and power, source, demo, volume down, volume up for the M51ax-J6.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HW-Q70T has 3.1.2 and M51ax-J6 has 5.1. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Streaming services

Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The HW-Q70T can play audio from Spotify.

Connectivity

Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the HW-Q70T. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/0 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Samsung HW-Q70T versus 1/1 HDMIs in the VIZIO M51ax-J6. As in the HW-Q70T, so in the M51ax-J6 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the HW-Q70T at 9 out of 10, while the M51ax-J6 was rated 8/10. The manufacturer of the HW-Q70T provides a device control application. The Samsung HW-Q70T equipped with a microphone. The Samsung HW-Q70T may become part of a multiroom system.

Multichannel surround

Manufacturers equipped both units with Dolby Atmos audio decoder. Units from this comparison can process surround sound due to DTS:X support. The HW-Q70T was rated 10/10, while the M51ax-J6 received a mark of 8/10 for multichannel surround.
