l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Samsung HW-Q900T vs VIZIO M51ax-J6. The Samsung HW-Q900T was rated 8.2, while the VIZIO M51ax-J6 has a rating 5.4. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, volume down, volume up, power, source for the HW-Q900T and power, source, demo, volume down, volume up for the M51ax-J6.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HW-Q900T has 7.1.2 and M51ax-J6 has 5.1. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 8 out of 10 received the Samsung HW-Q900T for audio features and specs, but the VIZIO M51ax-J6 received 7 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The HW-Q900T can play audio from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the HW-Q900T. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 2/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Samsung HW-Q900T versus 1/1 HDMIs in the VIZIO M51ax-J6. As in the HW-Q900T, so in the M51ax-J6 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 8/10. The manufacturer of the HW-Q900T provides a device control application. The Samsung HW-Q900T equipped with a microphone. The Samsung HW-Q900T may become part of a multiroom system.
Manufacturers equipped both units with Dolby Atmos audio decoder. Units from this comparison can process surround sound due to DTS:X support. The HW-Q900T was rated 9/10, while the M51ax-J6 received a mark of 8/10 for multichannel surround.
