l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Yamaha YAS-209 vs VIZIO SB4451-C0. The Yamaha YAS-209 was rated 8.2, while the VIZIO SB4451-C0 has a rating 7.2. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, power, source, demo, volume down, volume up, microphone mute for the YAS-209 and power, input, Bluetooth, volume down, volume up for the SB4451-C0.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that YAS-209 has 2.1 and SB4451-C0 has 5.1. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 6 out of 10 received the Yamaha YAS-209 for audio features and specs, but the VIZIO SB4451-C0 received 8 out of 10. Each of the competitors can play content from Spotify.
Both models have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Yamaha YAS-209 versus 1/0 HDMIs in the VIZIO SB4451-C0. As in the YAS-209, so in the SB4451-C0 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 8/10.
Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. The Yamaha YAS-209 equipped with a microphone. The VIZIO SB4451-C0 may become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the YAS-209 or SB4451-C0. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The YAS-209 was rated 8/10, while the SB4451-C0 received a mark of 4/10 for multichannel surround.
