l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – LG SN11RG vs VIZIO M51ax-J6. The LG SN11RG was rated 7.5, while the VIZIO M51ax-J6 has a rating 5.4. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, power, volume down, volume up, function, play/pause, microphone for the SN11RG and power, source, demo, volume down, volume up for the M51ax-J6.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that SN11RG has 7.1.4 and M51ax-J6 has 5.1. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 9 out of 10 received the LG SN11RG for audio features and specs, but the VIZIO M51ax-J6 received 7 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the SN11RG. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 2/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the LG SN11RG versus 1/1 HDMIs in the VIZIO M51ax-J6. As in the SN11RG, so in the M51ax-J6 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the SN11RG at 9 out of 10, while the M51ax-J6 was rated 8/10. The manufacturer of the SN11RG provides a device control application. The LG SN11RG equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Manufacturers equipped both units with Dolby Atmos audio decoder. Units from this comparison can process surround sound due to DTS:X support. The SN11RG was rated 10/10, while the M51ax-J6 received a mark of 8/10 for multichannel surround.
