Both soundbars have active amplification type. Soundbars have the same number of channels on 7.1.2. The output power is different and equal to 128 (overall) W for the YSP-5600 versus 500 (overall) W for the HT-A7000. Competitors have a built-in subwoofer. App control is available for the YSP-5600. A built-in microphone is present only on the YSP-5600. Multi-room is only available for the Yamaha YSP-5600.
