If you have already decided that you want to buy a new soundbar, but still don’t know what exactly you want, the Sony HT-S40R vs Samsung B550 comparison is here to offer you two decent solutions. The Sony HT-S40R was rated 5.2, while the Samsung B550 has a rating 4.6.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HT-S40R has 5.1 and B550 has 2.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 600 (overall) versus 410 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the HT-S40R via wired, but B550 has wireless connection type. Streaming services

Connectivity
