I had a chance to test and compare two models: LG S90QY vs Samsung S50B and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The LG S90QY was rated 8, while the Samsung S50B has a rating 4.6.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that S90QY has 5.1.3 and S50B has 3.0. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 440 (overall) versus 140 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 8 out of 10 received the LG S90QY for audio features and specs, but the Samsung S50B received 6 out of 10.

The S90QY can play audio from Spotify.

Connectivity

Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the S90QY. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the LG S90QY versus 0/1 HDMIs in the Samsung S50B. As in the S90QY, so in the S50B there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the S90QY. The S90QY can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The S90QY was rated 10/10, while the S50B received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
