l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – VIZIO SB3820-C6 vs VIZIO SB3821-C6. The VIZIO SB3820-C6 was rated 4.6, while the VIZIO SB3821-C6 has a rating 4.5. Soundbars have the same set of buttons - power, input, Bluetooth, volume down, volume up.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that SB3820-C6 has 2.0 and SB3821-C6 has 2.1. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. Audio features and specs of considered models we rated 5 out of 10 in our ranking.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. Both devices do not have Google Play Music on board. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. Neither the SB3820-C6 nor SB3821-C6 has the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 6/10.
The manufacturer of the SB3820-C6 provides a device control application. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the SB3820-C6 or SB3821-C6. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. DTS Virtual:X technology not supported by any of the soundbars in this review. The same score of 2/10 was put to the soundbars for multichannel surround support.
