l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Yamaha YAS-207 vs VIZIO SB3821-C6. The Yamaha YAS-207 was rated 5, while the VIZIO SB3821-C6 has a rating 4.5. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, input, mute, volume down, volume up, power for the YAS-207 and power, input, Bluetooth, volume down, volume up for the SB3821-C6.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. By the number of channels, the devices do not differ. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 7 out of 10 received the Yamaha YAS-207 for audio features and specs, but the VIZIO SB3821-C6 received 5 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. Both devices do not have Google Play Music on board. The YAS-207 can play audio from Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) is implemented only in the YAS-207. The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 6/10.
The manufacturer of the YAS-207 provides a device control application. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the YAS-207 or SB3821-C6. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The YAS-207 has a modern feature such as DTS Virtual:X. The YAS-207 was rated 4/10, while the SB3821-C6 received a mark of 2/10 for multichannel surround.
