I had a chance to test and compare two models: LG SN10YG vs Samsung S50B and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The LG SN10YG was rated 7.2, while the Samsung S50B has a rating 4.6.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that SN10YG has 5.1.2 and S50B has 3.0. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 570 (overall) versus 140 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 8 out of 10 received the LG SN10YG for audio features and specs, but the Samsung S50B received 6 out of 10.

Streaming services

Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.

Connectivity

Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the SN10YG. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 2/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the LG SN10YG versus 0/1 HDMIs in the Samsung S50B. As in the SN10YG, so in the S50B there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). The manufacturer of the SN10YG provides a device control application. The LG SN10YG equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.

Multichannel surround

Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the SN10YG. The SN10YG can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The SN10YG was rated 10/10, while the S50B received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
