The present review is aimed to compare two soundbars - LG SP2 vs Sony HT-A7000 that are meant to satisfy the needs of cinema and music lovers. Based on our rating, SP2 has a total rating of 4.2 out of 10 versus 8 for HT-A7000.
Both soundbars have active amplification type. A significant difference between the units in the number of channels, the LG SP2 has 2.1 versus 7.1.2 for the Sony HT-A7000. The output power is different and equal to 100 (overall) W for the SP2 versus 500 (overall) W for the HT-A7000. Competitors have a built-in subwoofer. Compared soundbars have no app control. None of the models under consideration have a built-in microphone. Soundbars do not have Multi-room support.
Only the HT-A7000 has a Dolby Atmos multichannel audio format support. A surround technology DTS:X is supported only by the HT-A7000. For multichannel surround LG SP2 got a rating of 5, and Sony HT-A7000 10 out of 10.
