I had a chance to test and compare two models: Samsung HW-Q90R vs Sony HT-S350 and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The Samsung HW-Q90R was rated 7.2, while the Sony HT-S350 has a rating 5. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, power, volume down, volume up, source for the HW-Q90R and power, volume down, volume up, Bluetooth, TV for the HT-S350.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HW-Q90R has 7.1.4 and HT-S350 has 2.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 512 (overall) versus 85 according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 10 out of 10 received the Samsung HW-Q90R for audio features and specs, but the Sony HT-S350 received 7 out of 10.

Streaming services

Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. Both devices do not have Google Play Music on board. The HW-Q90R can play audio from Spotify.

Multichannel surround

Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the HW-Q90R. The HW-Q90R can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. DTS Virtual:X technology not supported by any of the soundbars in this review. The HW-Q90R was rated 7/10, while the HT-S350 received a mark of 4/10 for multichannel surround.
