If you have already decided that you want to buy a new soundbar, but still don’t know what exactly you want, the Samsung HW-Q60T vs LG SN5Y comparison is here to offer you two decent solutions. The Samsung HW-Q60T was rated 5.5, while the LG SN5Y has a rating 6. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, volume down, volume up, power, source for the HW-Q60T and power, volume down, volume up, function for the SN5Y.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HW-Q60T has 5.1 and SN5Y has 2.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 360 (overall) versus 400 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 7 out of 10 received the Samsung HW-Q60T for audio features and specs, but the LG SN5Y received 6 out of 10.

Streaming services

Connectivity

We rated the connectivity of the HW-Q60T at 7 out of 10, while the SN5Y was rated 8/10. Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. The LG SN5Y equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.

Multichannel surround

Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the HW-Q60T or SN5Y. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The same score of 5/10 was put to the soundbars for multichannel surround support.
