I had a chance to test and compare two models: Nakamichi Shockwafe Elite 7.2 vs Klipsch Cinema 600 and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The Nakamichi Shockwafe Elite 7.2 was rated 8, while the Klipsch Cinema 600 has a rating 4.8.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that Shockwafe Elite 7.2 has 7.2.4 and Cinema 600 has 3.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 800 (overall) versus 600 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the Shockwafe Elite 7.2 via wireless, but Cinema 600 has wired connection type. Rate 9 out of 10 received the Nakamichi Shockwafe Elite 7.2 for audio features and specs, but the Klipsch Cinema 600 received 6 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The Shockwafe Elite 7.2 can play audio from Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 3/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Nakamichi Shockwafe Elite 7.2 versus 1/0 HDMIs in the Klipsch Cinema 600. As in the Shockwafe Elite 7.2, so in the Cinema 600 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 8/10.
None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the Shockwafe Elite 7.2. The Shockwafe Elite 7.2 can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The Shockwafe Elite 7.2 was rated 10/10, while the Cinema 600 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
