I had a chance to test and compare two models: Samsung HW-T550 vs Klipsch Cinema 600 and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The Samsung HW-T550 was rated 4.5, while the Klipsch Cinema 600 has a rating 4.8.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HW-T550 has 2.1 and Cinema 600 has 3.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 320 (overall) versus 600 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the HW-T550 via wireless, but Cinema 600 has wired connection type. Audio features and specs of considered models we rated 6 out of 10 in our ranking.

Streaming services

Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.

Connectivity

Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Samsung HW-T550 versus 1/0 HDMIs in the Klipsch Cinema 600. As in the HW-T550, so in the Cinema 600 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). We rated the connectivity of the HW-T550 at 6 out of 10, while the Cinema 600 was rated 8/10.

Features

None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.

Multichannel surround

Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the HW-T550 or Cinema 600. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The HW-T550 was rated 5/10, while the Cinema 600 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
