I had a chance to test and compare two models: LG SP2 vs Klipsch Cinema 600 and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The LG SP2 was rated 4.2, while the Klipsch Cinema 600 has a rating 4.8.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that SP2 has 2.1 and Cinema 600 has 3.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 100 (overall) versus 600 (overall) according to devices. A built-in subwoofer is available only in the LG SP2. Rate 5 out of 10 received the LG SP2 for audio features and specs, but the Klipsch Cinema 600 received 6 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the LG SP2 versus 1/0 HDMIs in the Klipsch Cinema 600. As in the SP2, so in the Cinema 600 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). We rated the connectivity of the SP2 at 7 out of 10, while the Cinema 600 was rated 8/10.
None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the SP2 or Cinema 600. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The SP2 was rated 5/10, while the Cinema 600 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
