Bose TV Speaker vs LG SP7R review

I had a chance to test and compare two models: Bose TV Speaker vs LG SP7R and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. Both soundbars received a score of 5 in our ranking.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that TV Speaker has 3.0 and SP7R has 7.1. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the TV Speaker via wired, but SP7R has wireless connection type. Rate 5 out of 10 received the Bose TV Speaker for audio features and specs, but the LG SP7R received 8 out of 10.

Streaming services

Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.

Connectivity

Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/0 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Bose TV Speaker versus 1/1 HDMIs in the LG SP7R. As in the TV Speaker, so in the SP7R there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 7/10.

Features

None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.

Multichannel surround

Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the TV Speaker or SP7R. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The TV Speaker was rated 4/10, while the SP7R received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
