I had a chance to test and compare two models: KEF HTF7003 vs Sony HT-S350 and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. Both soundbars received a score of 5 in our ranking.
Soundbars have different amplification type - passive versus active respectively to devices. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HTF7003 has 3.0 and HT-S350 has 2.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 100 versus 85 according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. Rate 6 out of 10 received the KEF HTF7003 for audio features and specs, but the Sony HT-S350 received 7 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. Both devices do not have Google Play Music on board. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Bluetooth support integrated in the HT-S350. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) is implemented only in the HT-S350. Connecting devices via USB is not possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the HTF7003 at 4 out of 10, while the HT-S350 was rated 5/10.
None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the HTF7003 or HT-S350. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. DTS Virtual:X technology not supported by any of the soundbars in this review.
