I had a chance to test and compare two models: KEF HTF7003 vs Sony HT-S350 and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. Both soundbars received a score of 5 in our ranking.
Soundbars have different amplification type - passive versus active respectively to devices. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HTF7003 has 3.0 and HT-S350 has 2.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 100 versus 320 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. Rate 6 out of 10 received the KEF HTF7003 for audio features and specs, but the Sony HT-S350 received 7 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Bluetooth support integrated in the HT-S350. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) is implemented only in the HT-S350. Connecting devices via USB is not possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the HTF7003 at 4 out of 10, while the HT-S350 was rated 6/10.
None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the HTF7003 or HT-S350. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X.
