I had a chance to test and compare two models: LG SN9YG vs LG SP7R and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The LG SN9YG was rated 7, while the LG SP7R has a rating 5. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, power, volume down, volume up, function, play/pause, microphone for the SN9YG and power, source, demo, volume down, volume up for the SP7R.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that SN9YG has 5.1.2 and SP7R has 7.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 520 (overall) versus 580 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Audio features and specs of considered models we rated 8 out of 10 in our ranking.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.

Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the SN9YG. The SN9YG can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The SN9YG was rated 10/10, while the SP7R received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
