l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – LG SC9S vs Klipsch Cinema 400. The LG SC9S was rated 6.4, while the Klipsch Cinema 400 has a rating 4.6.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. By the number of channels, the devices do not differ. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 310 (overall) versus 400 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the SC9S via wireless, but Cinema 400 has wired connection type. Rate 6 out of 10 received the LG SC9S for audio features and specs, but the Klipsch Cinema 400 received 5 out of 10.
The SC9S can play audio from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the SC9S. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the LG SC9S versus 1/0 HDMIs in the Klipsch Cinema 400. As in the SC9S, so in the Cinema 400 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). We rated the connectivity of the SC9S at 7 out of 10, while the Cinema 400 was rated 8/10.
The manufacturer of the SC9S provides a device control application. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the SC9S. The SC9S can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The SC9S was rated 5/10, while the Cinema 400 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
