Sony HT-G700 vs Klipsch Cinema 400 review

l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Sony HT-G700 vs Klipsch Cinema 400. The Sony HT-G700 was rated 6.2, while the Klipsch Cinema 400 has a rating 4.6.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HT-G700 has 3.1 and Cinema 400 has 2.1. Soundbars have the same power - 400 (overall) W. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the HT-G700 via wireless, but Cinema 400 has wired connection type. Rate 7 out of 10 received the Sony HT-G700 for audio features and specs, but the Klipsch Cinema 400 received 5 out of 10.

Streaming services

Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.

Connectivity

Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Sony HT-G700 versus 1/0 HDMIs in the Klipsch Cinema 400. As in the HT-G700, so in the Cinema 400 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 8/10.

Features

None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.

Multichannel surround

Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the HT-G700. The HT-G700 can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The HT-G700 was rated 10/10, while the Cinema 400 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
