Sony HT-S350 vs Klipsch Cinema 400 review

l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Sony HT-S350 vs Klipsch Cinema 400. The Sony HT-S350 was rated 5, while the Klipsch Cinema 400 has a rating 4.6.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. By the number of channels, the devices do not differ. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 320 (overall) versus 400 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the HT-S350 via wireless, but Cinema 400 has wired connection type. Rate 7 out of 10 received the Sony HT-S350 for audio features and specs, but the Klipsch Cinema 400 received 5 out of 10.

Streaming services

Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.

Connectivity

Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 0/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the Sony HT-S350 versus 1/0 HDMIs in the Klipsch Cinema 400. As in the HT-S350, so in the Cinema 400 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). We rated the connectivity of the HT-S350 at 6 out of 10, while the Cinema 400 was rated 8/10.

Features

None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.

Multichannel surround

Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the HT-S350 or Cinema 400. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The HT-S350 was rated 4/10, while the Cinema 400 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
