I had a chance to test and compare two models: LG SPD7Y vs Klipsch Cinema 600 and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The LG SPD7Y was rated 5.6, while the Klipsch Cinema 600 has a rating 4.8.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that SPD7Y has 3.1.2 and Cinema 600 has 3.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 380 (overall) versus 600 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the SPD7Y via wireless, but Cinema 600 has wired connection type. Rate 7 out of 10 received the LG SPD7Y for audio features and specs, but the Klipsch Cinema 600 received 6 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the LG SPD7Y versus 1/0 HDMIs in the Klipsch Cinema 600. As in the SPD7Y, so in the Cinema 600 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). We rated the connectivity of the SPD7Y at 7 out of 10, while the Cinema 600 was rated 8/10.
None of these soundbars can be controlled using the app. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the SPD7Y. The SPD7Y can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The SPD7Y was rated 10/10, while the Cinema 600 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
