l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – JBL BAR 700 vs Klipsch Cinema 400. The JBL BAR 700 was rated 8.8, while the Klipsch Cinema 400 has a rating 4.6.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that BAR 700 has 5.1 and Cinema 400 has 2.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 620 (overall) versus 400 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer connects to the BAR 700 via wireless, but Cinema 400 has wired connection type. Rate 8 out of 10 received the JBL BAR 700 for audio features and specs, but the Klipsch Cinema 400 received 5 out of 10.

The BAR 700 can play audio from Spotify.

Connectivity

Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the BAR 700. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. There are 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs in the JBL BAR 700 versus 1/0 HDMIs in the Klipsch Cinema 400. As in the BAR 700, so in the Cinema 400 there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). We rated the connectivity of the BAR 700 at 10 out of 10, while the Cinema 400 was rated 8/10.

Features

The manufacturer of the BAR 700 provides a device control application. The JBL BAR 700 equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.

Multichannel surround

Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the BAR 700. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The BAR 700 was rated 7/10, while the Cinema 400 received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
