l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Yamaha YAS-209 vs LG SNC4R. The Yamaha YAS-209 was rated 6.4, while the LG SNC4R has a rating 5.2. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, power, volume down, volume up, input, microphone for the YAS-209 and power, volume down, volume up, function for the SNC4R.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that YAS-209 has 2.0 and SNC4R has 4.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 200 versus 420 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 6 out of 10 received the Yamaha YAS-209 for audio features and specs, but the LG SNC4R received 7 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The YAS-209 can play audio from Spotify.
Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the YAS-209. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) is implemented only in the YAS-209. Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the YAS-209 at 7 out of 10, while the SNC4R was rated 6/10. Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. The Yamaha YAS-209 equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the YAS-209 or SNC4R. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The YAS-209 was rated 6/10, while the SNC4R received a mark of 5/10 for multichannel surround.
