l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Yamaha YAS-207 vs LG SNC4R. The Yamaha YAS-207 was rated 5,4, while the LG SNC4R has a rating 5.2. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, input, mute, volume down, volume up, power for the YAS-207 and power, volume down, volume up, function for the SNC4R.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that YAS-207 has 2.1 and SNC4R has 4.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 200 versus 420 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Audio features and specs of considered models we rated 7 out of 10 in our ranking.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The YAS-207 can play audio from Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) is implemented only in the YAS-207. The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 6/10.
Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the YAS-207 or SNC4R. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The YAS-207 was rated 4/10, while the SNC4R received a mark of 5/10 for multichannel surround.
