I had a chance to test and compare two models: Samsung HW-Q60T vs LG SP7R and this review should help people who are looking for a good soundbar. The Samsung HW-Q60T was rated 5.5, while the LG SP7R has a rating 5. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, volume down, volume up, power, source for the HW-Q60T and power, source, demo, volume down, volume up for the SP7R.
Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HW-Q60T has 5.1 and SP7R has 7.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 360 (overall) versus 580 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 7 out of 10 received the Samsung HW-Q60T for audio features and specs, but the LG SP7R received 8 out of 10.
Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The units in this comparison do not support Spotify.
Both models do not have a wireless Wi-Fi interface. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. 1/1 HDMI inputs/outputs are in each of soundbars. As in the HW-Q60T, so in the SP7R there is the HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC). Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. The connectivity of each of the models was estimated at 7/10.
The manufacturer of the HW-Q60T provides a device control application. Soundbars in this review are not equipped with a microphone. The models under consideration cannot become part of a multiroom system.
Dolby Atmos audio decoder support is not implemented in either the HW-Q60T or SP7R. Devices from this comparison cannot process surround sound due to lack of DTS:X. The HW-Q60T was rated 5/10, while the SP7R received a mark of 6/10 for multichannel surround.
