Samsung HW-Q900T vs LG SNC4R review

l would like to share my experience after comparing and testing two soundbars – Samsung HW-Q900T vs LG SNC4R. The Samsung HW-Q900T was rated 8.2, while the LG SNC4R has a rating 5.2. The soundbars are equipped with a different number of buttons, volume down, volume up, power, source for the HW-Q900T and power, volume down, volume up, function for the SNC4R.

Audio features

Each of the models under consideration has active amplification type. A noticeable difference is the number of channels that HW-Q900T has 7.1.2 and SNC4R has 4.1. These rivals can be compared in terms of power, 406 (overall) versus 420 (overall) according to devices. The built-in subwoofer is not implemented in any of these models. An external subwoofer can be connected to any of the units in this comparison. Rate 8 out of 10 received the Samsung HW-Q900T for audio features and specs, but the LG SNC4R received 7 out of 10.

Streaming services

Soundbars do not have AirPlay support. The HW-Q900T can play audio from Spotify.

Connectivity

Wireless Internet connection is realized only in the HW-Q900T. Soundbars from this comparison have Bluetooth support. The HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) is implemented only in the HW-Q900T. Connecting devices via USB is possible in both models. We rated the connectivity of the HW-Q900T at 8 out of 10, while the SNC4R was rated 6/10. Each of the soundbars can be controlled using the application. The Samsung HW-Q900T equipped with a microphone. The Samsung HW-Q900T may become part of a multiroom system.

Multichannel surround

Dolby Atmos audio decoder is onboard the HW-Q900T. The HW-Q900T can work with surround sound due to DTS:X support. The HW-Q900T was rated 9/10, while the SNC4R received a mark of 5/10 for multichannel surround.
